The Spitfire Engineering Legacy
Spitfire Engineering Services was established in 2005 by Gavin Franklin, initially trading as G&E Mechanical Services Ltd with a focus on service and repair work. Driven by a passion for innovation and precision engineering, the business quickly grew into a full workshop design and build operation. In 2016, the company rebranded as Spitfire Engineering Services Ltd to better reflect its expanded capabilities and product range.
Today, Spitfire Engineering is a proudly family-run business based at Park Farm, Brixworth, Northamptonshire. From their purpose-built 9,000 square foot workshop, a skilled team of CAD design engineers, fabricators, and welders design and manufacture an impressive range of screening, conveying, sorting, and security equipment for clients across the recycling, construction, landscaping, and agricultural sectors.
The company’s in-house manufacturing capabilities are comprehensive — from CNC profile cutting and high-capacity band saws to MIG, stick, and TIG precision welding, a fully equipped machine shop with lathes, milling machines and a CNC brake press, a dedicated paint booth, and a spacious outside yard for project assembly and logistics. Every Spitfire machine is built to order, ensuring each customer receives a solution precisely tailored to their operational needs.
