Charity fundraising campaign by Crediton company wins a fair-weather following
Crediton-based agricultural and construction machinery supplier Conagri has launched a heartfelt charity fundraising campaign in support of The Pink Ribbon Foundation and Prostate Cancer UK—and the response so far has been nothing short of inspiring.
The campaign got off to a flying start during three sun-drenched days at the Devon County Show, where the Conagri team, dressed in eye-catching pink tutus and wellies, worked tirelessly to raise awareness and funds. They sold an impressive 350 raffle tickets at £10 each, giving ticket holders a chance to win either a bespoke pink Captain Tractor (in support of breast cancer awareness) or a black edition (for prostate cancer support).
The fun and fundraising drew a wide range of visitors to the Conagri stand, including Faye Winter, known for her appearances on Love Island and Celebrity MasterChef. Faye enthusiastically took part in the campaign by purchasing a ticket and posing for photos on the bright pink tractor—helping to spread the word through her fanbase and social media presence.
This raffle marks the beginning of Conagri’s nationwide campaign, which will continue to travel across the UK throughout the summer. Following the Devon County Show, Conagri will next appear at Royal Bath and West and the Royal Cornwall Show, where they’ll continue to promote the raffle and showcase their growing portfolio of compact agricultural equipment, including the recently launched Captain Tractors range.
The lucky winners of the pink and black Captain Tractors will be formally announced and presented with their custom machines at a special open day hosted by Conagri on October 31st at their headquarters in Crediton. The presentation ceremony will be led by none other than Julia Bradbury, popular television presenter and breast cancer survivor. Julia, whose father Michael Bradbury is himself a survivor of prostate cancer, will also be signing copies of her latest wellness book “Hack Yourself Healthy” during the event.
Conagri Director Andrew Venton, who himself joined staff in donning a pink tutu for the occasion, expressed his pride in how the campaign has been received:
“Devon was a fantastic start to our campaign, and we are confident things will continue to grow from here for our breast and prostate cancer causes. We’ve had a great mix of fun and heartfelt moments already, and it’s only the beginning.”
