Conagri, one of the UK’s leading construction and agricultural equipment dealers, has officially opened the first of three brand-new depots dedicated to Sunward excavators. Located near Weston-super-Mare in Somerset, the 8,000ft² facility is a result of a strategic collaboration with respected independent agricultural machinery dealer Michael Burdge Ltd. This marks Michael Burdge Ltd.’s first entry into the construction sector, with the depot exclusively focused on supplying and supporting Sunward equipment.

The new depot launch comes just nine months after Conagri’s significant redevelopment of its headquarters near Exeter in Devon, which saw the transformation of its site into a 5,500ft² two-storey office complex with a modern showroom and workshops. Since then, Conagri has hosted a series of successful “Arrive and Drive” events and community-driven activities like the inaugural “Foodie Friday,” where local tradespeople and the public were invited to explore and demo Sunward machines while enjoying a complimentary breakfast.

Conagri has rapidly expanded its dealership territory over the past 18 months, covering Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, and Dorset, with the recent addition of Wiltshire. This growth reflects the rising demand for Sunward’s high-performance machinery in the UK, driven by its reputation for innovative engineering and reliable support.

Michael Burdge Ltd. has already stocked 10 Sunward excavators at the new depot, with operations led by Ed Burdge. Conagri’s Business Development Manager, Andrew Venton, expressed confidence in the brand’s trajectory, stating, “This is an exciting time for Conagri, and with Sunward at our side, we are confident the group will go from strength to strength in 2025.” Ed Burdge echoed this sentiment, calling the partnership a bold and promising step into the construction equipment market.
