The Agrimac Legacy
Agrimac is the machinery division of Agria Hispania, founded in 1958 through a merger between Basque entrepreneurs and German company Agria Werke GmbH. Located in Amorebieta in the industrial heart of the Basque Country, Spain, the company began by importing German machinery and soon started manufacturing rotary tillers and walk-behind tractors at their seven-hectare facility.
By the 1970s, Agrimac had developed sufficient technical expertise to sever ties with their German parent company and begin designing their own machines, specialising in articulated tractors. In 1990, they entered the construction market with the manufacture of dumpers, followed by their first all-terrain forklift in 1998. Today, Agrimac stands as Spain’s leading lightweight machinery brand.
Throughout their history, Agrimac has adapted to market changes, including weathering the 2008 financial crisis. Their commitment to innovation led to the development of revolutionary in-wheel motor technology, which defines their current range of forklifts and dumpers, offering superior performance with minimal maintenance requirements.
